Boorp Boorp Boondyil exhibition to open at the Market Building

If you’ve visited the Castlemaine Market Building recently, you may have noticed some exciting changes taking place!

New artworks are being installed for the permanent cultural exhibition, Boorp Boorp Boondyil, which will open in November.

Boorp Boorp Boondyil (passing knowledge to our children) is a celebration of the Traditional Custodians of the area known as Mount Alexander Shire.

It has been developed by Dja Dja Wurrung Elder Uncle Rick Nelson, and takes visitors on a journey to Jaara Country, where you’ll discover stories and teachings from the world’s oldest continuous living culture.

We’re looking forward to sharing more about this exciting exhibition in the coming weeks!
