BCFB Annual Meeting and Fall Banquet Reserve your space now at each of these fall events: Register for the Annual Meeting and Dinner: 6:00 pm October 20, 2025 The BCFB Annual Meeting is a forum for voting members to gather and conduct important business. The agenda will include the election of the board of directors, bylaw updates, acceptance of Annual Policy as drafted in the August policy meeting, as well as additional membership updates. Please RSVP by October 13th. There is no fee to attend. Register for the Annual Fall Banquet: 6:00 pm November 11, 2025 The Annual Fall Banquet will hold a silent auction to benefit BCFB scholarships, to support agricultural education programs, and to promote agricultural awareness throughout Baltimore County. The event will also include live music, dinner and a chance to network and connect with your industry colleagues and district legislators. Please RSVP by October 28th. The cost is $40 and includes hors d’oeuvres, seated dinner, beverages, and dessert.

These one-day events will bring together county, state, and federal agriculture service providers and organizations, serving as a one-stop shop for farmers to update certifications and access valuable local, state, and federal resources. The events are open to all farmers, regardless of county of residence or type of farming operation. This winter we will give farmers two opportunities to visit the Farmers Fair and explore resources available to them. Complete the Agency Registration Form. New! National Junior Horticulture Convention This year, Maryland is hosting the National Junior Horticulture Convention on October 10-12 at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel. Participants from around the country have been selected to compete in the horticultural related contests on Saturday October 11th Susan Knight is reaching out to previous Maryland delegations, 4-H Volunteers, Master Gardeners and Horticultural Enthusiastic interested in assisting with the convention. As you can imagine, it takes many volunteers to prepare, organize and provide an educational and meaningful conference for our young people. Volunteers are requested to assist with gathering samples, judging, scoring and/or room monitors for the various contests If you're available and interested in helping out, we would greatly appreciate your support. MARBIDCO Offers Two Maryland Resource-Based Industry Financing Fund (MRBIFF) Options MARBIDCO's popular “MRBIFF” Loan Program now offers a Participation Loan option in addition to its traditional Direct Loan option. Under the Participation Loan option, the senior lender holds and services the MARBIDCO below-market-rate portion of the commercial debt financing. MARBIDCO typically finances between 30-49% of the debt capital that is needed. The Participation Loan option is currently offered through Horizon Farm Credit and Colonial Farm Credit. MARBIDCO welcomes other lenders to adopt this lending approach. If interested, please contact the MARBIDCO office.
The Baltimore County Agribusiness Incubator Initiative is a business development program for new, beginning, and historically underserved farmers in Baltimore County. The Agribusiness Incubator: Greenhouse Program supports farmers launching their Agribusiness, and gives them the opportunity to rent table space in the greenhouse at the Baltimore County Agricultural Center.
