UAE Chief AI Officers Visit Leading Technology Companies in the US
The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office in partnership with the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence recently organized a delegation of 50 Chief AI Officers from over 40 UAE government agencies to the US. During the ten-day visit to San Francisco and Seattle, the delegation met with top US technology companies—including Google, Meta, OpenAI, Palantir, NVIDIA, IBM, Amazon and Microsoft—to deepen UAE-US cooperation in artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
HE Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, highlighted the visit as a key step in strengthening UAE-US technology ties, accelerating the adoption of advanced digital solutions and building strategic partnerships with global industry leaders.
Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation Boosts Special Olympics’ Global Reach with Landmark Education Grant
The Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity has pledged $11 million to support the Special Olympics Global Center for Inclusion in Education in Abu Dhabi, enabling the expansion of its Unified Champion Schools program to ten more countries. Already in over 150 countries, the program uses sports to foster collaboration and friendship among young people with and without intellectual disabilities.
“This landmark commitment from the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity is a bold affirmation of a simple but revolutionary idea: inclusion is not charity, it is transformation,” Dr. Timothy Shriver, Special Olympics chairman, said.
Since 2019, when Abu Dhabi hosted the Special Olympics World Games—the largest humanitarian sporting event of the year and first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa—the UAE has maintained a strong partnership with the Special Olympics, supporting global efforts toward inclusion.
