UKESF Scholarship Scheme 2025, recruit top Electronics talent

UKESF Scholarship Scheme has been designed in collaboration with leading employers to support undergraduates to gain experience and develop the skills they need to thrive in Electronics. If you would like to get involved this year, find out more here or get in touch at info@ukesf.org.

Semiconductor Skills in Schools 

This programme provides hands-on resources, careers events and support to teach core Electronics concepts and skills, as part of the curriculum for 15-18-year-olds. If you have any connections to local secondary schools or sixth form colleges, please do tell them about these free resources!

Encouraging Young People to Study Electronics

Could you bring the excitement of Electronics to children in your local primary schools? 

We are looking for industry partners for our new Primary Electronics programme. This fully funded project is completely free for both schools and companies - all you need to provide is staff time in the form of enthusiastic volunteers! Find out more: education@ukesf.org

UKESF Girls into Electronics 2025 - our biggest yet

This summer, 506 pupils from across more than 100 schools and colleges joined Girls into Electronics at 15 partner universities. With support from Apple, students took part in hands-on workshops, inspiring lectures and Q&As with engineers. 80% left more excited about Electronics, and over half are now considering a career in the field! Connecting Undergraduates with Employers

Semiconductor Talent Awards 2025

The Semiconductor Talent Awards recognised 307 undergraduates starting Electronics Engineering degrees, shining a spotlight on the next generation of semiconductor innovators. Each Award-holder receives a bursary, mentoring and professional development, helping them kick-start their journey into semiconductor careers. Induction events are taking place throughout September.

UKESF Professional Development Course 2025

In August, 58 Scholars from 17 universities took part in our residential course, gaining technical and non-technical skills, hearing from expert speakers, and networking with peers. One Scholar said: “I thought it was an invaluable experience”. Read more...

Microelectronics UK Expo: 24–25 September 2025, ExCeL London

Join us at Booth E4 at Microelectronics UK, the UK’s only event uniting semiconductors, embedded systems, photonics, and electronics manufacturing.

We will be sharing insights on:

There are many ways you can help us to deliver greater impact, including:

  • Getting involved in our activities. Explore ‘What we do’ to find out more about our work and ways you can get involved through outreach, funding and volunteering.
  • Donating. As a registered education charity, we are eligible to received donations. Our work aims to provide practical, direct and engaging support to young people to help improve their awareness of Electronics and provide opportunities for skills development.
  • Supporting us as your Charity of the Year. If your organisation appoints a Charity of the Year, consider choosing the UKESF and we will work with you to identify how we can use the funds you raise, or the time you can give, to support the next generation of Electronics engineers.
