Horizons of Hope

American, Palestinian, and Israeli Women Embracing Better Together
by Julia Lever with Roa’a and Mayaan

"Period poverty, a condition that has historically affected women all over the world, affects American, Palestinian, and Israeli women and young girls in 2026.
"We are holding weekly zoom calls with girls and young women from Palestine as well as girls from Israel and the U.S. We as women see this issue as a kind of common ground.
"Each side has its own set of unique stories, strong feelings and deep emotional wounds. But we find tremendous comfort in connection and our common aspiration to make a difference through joint advocacy and collective activism."

New Movement Seeks to Elevate Trust
by Ayman Odeh

"Thiqa – Emun – Trust envisions a future in which Palestinians and Jews live side by side with dignity, equality, and mutual recognition. In this future, the rights of both peoples to self-determination are fully realized.
"This movement will bring together Palestinians and Jews united by a shared commitment to peace. The movement is dedicated to the long-term work of building trust, transforming public opinion, and opening a path toward a future in which both peoples can live in dignity, security, and mutual respect. We seek to do this by advancing a dual approach that combines grassroots civic engagement with diplomatic and international advocacy.
"Within this effort, Palestinian citizens of Israel hold a unique and essential role."

Measuring Impact of Peacebuilding
by Iky Salinas

"Nonprofit organizations face a quintessential challenge: how do you ensure that you are achieving what you actually set out to do? It is difficult, some might even say impossible, to objectively calculate NGO impact… This is a challenge that many vision-based organizations face, but for Israeli–Palestinian peacebuilding organizations, it is a gargantuan task.
"Impact measurement is the key to ensuring that we are actually doing the job we claim to be doing. It can help keep us aligned with our mission and, if done correctly, can transform the field as a whole.”
