Saturday Edition
Well, hello and welcome to another wonderful Saturday, ladies and gents! We have a ton of stories waiting for you lot to dive right into, so get yourself comfortable, maybe alongside a nice pot of tea and a couple of cheeky bikkies 😉
To start things off, let’s dig into the answer to yesterday’s riddle! Let’s remind ourselves of it, shall we?
Baker, Fred Floury has invented a method of slicing a pancake into eight equal pieces, with only three straight knife strokes. How does he do it?
So to obtain eight equal pieces with three straight knife strokes, Fred first cuts the round pancake into half; second into quarters. For the third cut, he places the quarters in a pile and slices straight through them. Now, when our wonderful member Suzi H. sent in this riddle, we thought it might confuse a few of you, and we would end up with quite a few different answers. But we were very wrong, as many of you didn’t have any problems solving it! If you got the correct answer, head further down in the email for a shoutout just for you!
Now, on to one of our favourite segments of the week, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’.Today we take a look at the term TFW. TFW stands for "that feeling when." It is used to describe a person's feelings in a not-so-typical situation hoping that the readers can relate—which they usually do. In short, it's used to share a relatable experience, whether positive or negative. Examples include, "TFW you're sleeping on a new mattress for the first time," or "TFW you're on your way to the airport, you think you forgot your passport, and then you find it." Use this one with the grandkids to see if they know TFW?

Who here has hosted or attended a Tupperware party back in the day? It was the first social gathering in which a hostess would show a variety of plastic containers to her friends and neighbours, and everyone would most likely buy at least one item. This type of party actually became a one-of-a-kind marketing strategy.

The Sargasso Sea (/sɑːrˈɡæsoʊ/) is a region of the Atlantic Ocean bounded by four currents forming an ocean gyre. Unlike all other regions called seas, it has no land boundaries. It is distinguished from other parts of the Atlantic Ocean by its characteristic brown Sargassum seaweed and often calm blue water.
