2023 Houston Methodist Holiday Bonus
This Tuesday, Dec. 12, all eligible Houston Methodist employees will receive a $100 holiday bonus. Dr. Boom sent out the information last week, which you can read here. Thank you for all you do!

Primary care sports medicine physician David Braunreiter with Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine recently spoke to KPRC about cold therapy. Could you jump into an ice bath at 42 degrees? 2023 Employee Opinion Survey Results
The 2023 Employee Opinion Survey results are in and there is great news - we outperformed the national average for all items this year! Dr. Boom sent an email out last week with some of the results, which you can read here. You can expect to hear more from your leaders and managers, who will share more details about the survey results in the coming weeks.
HMSL Staff Choir Holiday Concert
Make sure you stop by the Café Atrium this Tuesday, Dec. 12 at noon - the HMSL Staff Choir will be performing a holiday concert. They have been practicing since October and would love to see you there! Listen to your favorite carols performed live and get in the holiday spirit during this come-and-go event. If you can't make it Tuesday, the choir will be caroling on the units Tuesday, Dec. 19. If you want to join in on the fun, meet outside the Brazos Chapel at noon. Anybody is welcome to join!
2023 Service Awards
HMSL recently honored more than 400 employees across the hospital with Service Awards, celebrating milestone years of working for our organization. These HMSL employees received recognition for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30+ years of service. Congratulations to everyone honored. Sugar Land Holiday Lights
Don't forget, HMSL employees can receive a discount on regular priced adults for Sugar Land Holiday Lights via YouDecide. 2024 Payroll Periods
The 2024 payroll periods have been posted. All paydays will be Thursday except for the first payday of July, which will be July 3 (a Wednesday) due to the holiday. There will be three paydays in February and August. View the payroll schedule here.
2024 Holiday Schedule
Houston Methodist will observe eight holidays in 2024. Review the holiday schedule here. All eligible employees will also have a DEI Personal Day. Your DEI Personal Day does not roll over like other paid time off. This year, you must use your DEI Personal Day by Dec. 16.
2023's Most Stolen Passwords
It's the end of the year, and there's a new list out for 2023 - the top 200 most stolen passwords. Of the world's 20 most common passwords, 17 can be cracked in less than a second!
