We look forward to your participation in making this AGM a resounding success. ![]() SHN's Community Mental Health CentreSHN’s new Community Mental Health Centre will open and begin to offer services on Thursday, May 23, 2024. The Community Mental Health Centre is one of SHN’s key capital projects that for a first time will bring together ambulatory and community outpatient mental health services currently offered at different SHN hospitals and satellite sites into one shared location at 1940 Eglinton Ave. E, 2nd floor. The go-live of the Community Mental Health Centre allows us to optimize our “no wrong door” approach to care that is part of a larger transformation of SHN’s mental health and addictions program, including a central intake model and improved care pathways that more seamlessly and quickly connect patients to the right services across our program. ![]() New SHN Urgent Care Centre at Centenary HospitalSHN has launched a new Urgent Care Centre at the Centenary Hospital, located in the same space where previously there was a private after-hours clinic. The Urgent Care Centre offers patients walk-in access for non-life-threatening conditions, including: fevers, coughs and colds, infections, nose and throat complaints, earaches, eye injuries, sports injuries, deep cuts, minor burns, insect bites, allergies, and rashes. They also provide point-of-care testing, casting services, treatment for minor lacerations and wounds, as well as prescriptions and requisitions. Online booking will soon be available. Location: Centenary Hospital, Medical Mall, 2nd Floor (near the Shoppers as you arrive through the main North entrance). Hours: Monday to Friday, 3 – 7 p.m. and Sunday, 1 – 5 p.m. ![]() CT/MRI Central Intake eReferral on OceanThe Central East Clinical Information System (CE CIS) has launched a new CT/MRI Central Intake using the Ocean eReferral platform, which aims to reduce wait times across the region. This initiative aligns with the approach that Scarborough Health Network implemented locally for our diagnostic imaging services using Ocean. The regional CT/MRI Central Intake provides a single-entry point for outpatient CT/MRI referrals across Central East Ontario. Through a centralized Ocean e-referral, providers can now refer patients to multiple sites with a single click. Options are also available for patient preference and/or excluding sites if select hospitals are not accessible for their patients.
