You'll learn the principles of floral design and create your own beautiful arrangement to take home - or gift to that someone special!

Meet Pauline - our Decoupage tutor

Pauline discovered decoupage back in 2001 after visiting a Malvern Artist Society exhibition and was instantly hooked! She joined classes at Balwyn Community Centre, patiently waiting six months for a spot to open up! After nearly a decade of learning, Pauline was encouraged to teach and 15 years later she’s still at it and loving every minute!

From bowls and vases to shoes and handbags, Pauline transforms everyday objects with intricate cut-out designs, layering them onto the prepared surface then building up to 40 coats of varnish for a smooth, glossy finish.

One of her most cherished creations was a vase for her grandson’s 21st birthday, featuring images of him singing and playing guitar. During COVID, she upcycled coffee jars, and she’s even sold commissioned pieces, including an order of 45 Christmas baubles!

Whether it’s for a gift or an exhibition, Pauline's passion is all about turning everyday objects into something special.
 

Donate period products this March

Access to period products is a right, not a privilege. But 1 in 5 Australians have been unable to afford period products at some point in their life. That’s why we’re collecting period products to help those in need this month, as part of @sharethedignityaustralia’s March #DignityDrive. We accept all products in original packaging, including pads, tampons, maternity pads, period undies, menstrual cups and incontinence products. 

Keep an eye out for the pink donation box outside the office.
