Sunday Edition
Good morning members! How are you all this morning? I know we have a lot going on across the country at the moment, and I know so many of you are having a really tough time. So, I just wanted to take a moment to say that I hope you’re okay, that we are thinking of you, and if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.
And, if there’s nothing we can do, the least we can do is to try to lift your spirits and I tell you what, I’ve done the best job I can at that today! So I hope this morning’s newsletter brings a smile to that dial of yours. But I think the best way to kick-start some smiles is with this week’s quote of the week.
‘When you focus on the good, the good gets better.’
Now, I want to say first and foremost that I am in no way saying that the solution to all the big problems we may be facing; whether that be the floods, the rising cost of living, pension issues, and so on and so forth, is to focus on the ‘good’. But what I will say is that when things are bad, when I’m at my absolute worst, and I focus on the good things, I often feel a little better. That might be something as simple as having some chocolate at the end of the day, maybe a cup of tea after getting some bad news, or giving a loved one a hug when things feel more challenging than usual. When we focus on the good things, the bad things don’t disappear, but the good really does get better. You become far more appreciative of the people and the things you do have. So today, remember to try to focus on the good. I know I will be.
Now then, what happened across Australia and around the world this week?
