CALLING ALL PARENTS!!

BE SURE TO STOP BY our campus for our World Down Syndrome Day – “Drive Thru Celebration!” We will be lined up in our driveway cheering; handing your loved one goodies; and showing how much we celebrate with you on this important day! All you need to do is “drive thru” any time between 4:30 – 6:00 pm!
What to Expect: your family is invited to drive through our celebratory event as we honor your family member with Down syndrome! Help us celebrate your loved one by having his/her first name visible on the dashboard! Our staff and volunteers will flood your loved one with smiles, celebrations, treats, music, high-fives, and even a few small gifts, while you drive thru with your windows down!
And get ready for us to make your family feel like Rock Stars!
In celebration of World Down Syndrome Day, please join us for an exciting wellness event featuring special guest and speaker, Chris Nikic — Ironman Athlete with Down syndrome!
Participants will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of exercises options including walking/running on the indoor track; yoga; functional fitness; and Zumba! You will also learn about research opportunities related to living a healthy lifestyle.
Exercises for all ages and ability levels are available and healthy snacks will be provided! Be sure to RSVP soon, so we may have adequate accommodations!
This event is Complimentary / FREE due to the generosity of our grantors, donors and community partners!

Join Us for our New / Expectant Parents & Extended Family Gathering
Saturday, May 6th
9:00 - 11:00 am
This is an opportunity for new parents and extended family members (prenatal – 2 years old) to connect with others, who have a young child with Down syndrome. Meet other parents at different stages of the journey, while getting connected with the services and supports that Down Syndrome Innovations provides.
This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered and to exchange resources with other parents. There will be an opportunity to explore our Lifelong Learning Campus and to participate in a facilitated discussion with other families.
Breakfast and childcare are provided, so please RSVP so we have adequate accommodations!
Note: these events are complimentary/free for our families, due to the generous support of our donors and grantors!

In 2006, the 21st day of March was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome that causes Down syndrome.
