and Brings Our Missing Home 🙏 No images? Click here Give the Gift of Visibility This Giving TuesdayAs we gather with our loved ones this Thanksgiving, we're reminded of how precious these moments are, and how deeply they are missed by families who have someone still missing. While many of us will share meals, laughter, and connection this week, countless families will spend the holiday with an empty seat at the table, wondering where their loved one is and whether they are safe. Every day, families of missing loved ones live in a painful, exhausting reality, one where unanswered questions linger, where leads grow cold, and where hope has to be fought for, not given. However, the barrier they often face isn't due to a lack of urgency or determination. It’s a lack of visibility and resources. At BAMFI, we step into that gap. We provide awareness, advocacy, amplification, and community mobilization when someone goes missing across the country. These tools turn silence into action and restore hope for families who often feel overlooked. And this work isn't powered by institutions, but by people like you. This Giving Tuesday, your support ensures our community never has to fight alone. Help bring our missing back into focus, give the gift of visibility today. Everyone dollar can make a difference. Because when we are able to tell our own stories, we don't just change headlines, we save lives. That is why we do what we do at BAMFI. To send a tax-deductible donation, you can:
From our team to you and your loved ones, we wish you a safe, warm, and happy Thanksgiving. Thank You for Watching & Supporting Our Short Docu Series on Relisha Rudd and Pamela ButlerWe want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has watched, shared, and supported our recent short docu series spotlighting two of Washington, DC's most heartbreaking missing persons cases. Your engagement with The Vanishing of Relisha Rudd: A Cold Case Reexamined and The Tragic Story of Pamela Butler has been powerful. Every view, comment, and share helps us bring renewed visibility to stories too often overlooked and reminds these families that their loved ones have not been forgotten. The premiere of Relisha's story on October 29 carried profound meaning as it debuted on what would be her 20th birthday. Nearly 12 years after she disappeared, this moment underscored why we continue to fight for answers and refuse to let her name fade. Visibility equals justice. Combined Total Views 🎥 Where to WatchAs we head into the Thanksgiving break, we invite you to watch or rewatch with family and loved ones. These stories spark meaningful conversations about justice and community. If you missed them, or want to share them, both short docu series are available on the Black and Missing Foundation’s YouTube channel (BAMFIorg): ▶️ The Vanishing of Relisha Rudd: A Cold Case Reexamined Watch here: Thank you for standing with us, amplifying these stories, and helping push forward the ongoing call for truth and accountability. A Run Fueled by PurposeOn November 22, the Black and Missing Foundation was honored to be present at the Philadelphia Marathon, where compassion and endurance came together for a powerful cause. This year, Dan O'Toole laced up his running shoes not just to cross the finish line, but to help advance our mission of bringing visibility to missing persons of color. Dan ran with purpose — and he didn't run alone. With the unwavering support of his family and the generosity of friends, colleagues, and community members, his marathon fundraiser became a powerful collective effort. Together, they helped raise $57,171, showing what's possible when a community rallies around a mission that matters.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dan, to his family, and to everyone who contributed or donated in support of his run. Your kindness fuels our work and brings hope to the families we serve every day. Thank you all for helping transform one runner's journey into meaningful impact.
