EventsGarden design with natives - vibrant verges and yards Want a lovely native garden in your yard or on your verge? Come along for our first Common Thread event. It will be an informative, relaxed workshop, where we will cover: Garden design with natives How to garden on your verge 6:30 pm to 8 pm Tuesday 19 March, Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre Plants for sale!Glandore community garden volunteers have been busy propagating seedlings just in time for Autumn. Bring some green goodness to your backyard! Vegetable seedling and decorative plants are available. 9:30 am to 1 pm, Saturday 16 March, Glandore Community Garden Oaklands Wetland toursOaklands Wetland is home to an extensive array of wildlife such as waders, cockatoos, ducks and many majestic river red gums. Join this guided tour to learn all about how this system cleans water as it moves slowly through a series of ponds. 10 am to 11 am Thursday 14 March, Oaklands Wetland Seed and plant propagation workshop Join Lachlan McKenzie of Permaculture SA and get your hands dirty in this practical workshop to get you growing plants from seed! You will leave with some fresh seeds, newly planted propagates and the knowledge to DIY at home! There will also be a brief discussion on hardening up plants in home greenhouses. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided by the Marino Community Garden. BYO gloves, secateurs, hat and a few empty pots. 2 pm - 4 pm Saturday 6 April, Marino Community Garden Clean Up Australia DayMake a resolution to commit to a more sustainable 2024.
