Is it July already?!

Isn't it funny how we still scratch our heads and wonder how the first half of the year has gone by so fast?!

While the feeling of hurtling towards the future is ever present, we've had a chance to look back at the history of The PBC recently and share some golden images of the clubs members. It has been really wonderful to see people recognising the club and some of the faces in the photo's.

Below is a little bit of our Inner West history!

Ladies posing, with the old pokie machines in the background.

Did you know that our beloved cocktail tables near the bar have been around since the 70's!

Careers at The PBC!

We have a coveted position opening up at The PBC. Penny, our beloved general manager is moving on to new adventures come September and we are in need of someone to take the reigns.

General Manager - Head honcho of all things day to day, The PBC GM is a rare gem.

The PBC Ball news!

The Petersham Bowling Club 125th Anniversary Ball Invitation.

Our club president George Catsi has been busy this last month doing radio & print interviews, spreading the story of the club & all things the Ball!.

The PBC's own Lulu, and the dream team from Drain Brain PR have been instrumental in connecting us to the wider community and facilitating these oppotunities to tell our story and we are so appreciative.

George chatted to Virginia Lowe & Eric Goyes a few weeks back on Eastside FM's Drive show!

You can listen back here: Interview

An absolutely stellar interview and story for the Inner West Review that was written by Sarah Maguire is out now. It's free to create an account and if you click the link using a smart device you don't need to use an email sign in.. ;)

PBC Corner Library

Last month's highlight has been swapped out and this month we are looking at "Captain Corelli's Mandolin"

Written by Louis de Bernieres this well worn and loved copy of "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" looks like it's seen many back pockets.

The dedication inside reads: To my mother and father, who in different places and in different ways fought against the Fascists and the Nazi's, lost many of their close friends, and were never thanked.

These rainy La Nina afternoons are actually kind of perfect if you want to get out of the house, but still cosy up with a glass of red and be lulled by the intoxicating aroma of literature.

Check out our ever changing wines on offer!
