Saturday Edition
Well, hello and welcome to another wonderful Saturday, ladies, and gents! We have tons of goodies waiting for you all below, so get comfortable, relax, and maybe get yourself a cuppa and a bikkie, and we’ll start digging into the juicy lineup we have in store for you today.
Now to start things off, let’s reveal the answer to yesterday’s riddle. Let’s remind ourselves of it, shall we?
A pregnant lady named her children: Dominique, Regis, Michelle, Fawn, Sophie and Lara. What will she name her next child? Jessica, Katie, Abby or Tilly?
And the answer to this one is… Tilly! Why? Because she seems to follow the scale Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, and then Ti. Oh, this was without a doubt a tricky one, but it turns out that a fair few of you knew this one! So, if you got it correct, you’ll find a shoutout waiting for you at the bottom of this newsletter!
Now, on to one of our favourite segments of the week, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’. Today’s term is ‘zaddy.’ A zaddy is a man of a certain age who is attractive and exudes charisma, and experience. The term combines two elements: attractiveness and age. Zaddies frequently have grey or silver hair and are either peaking aesthetically or professionally or are making a comeback later in their careers. If you meet these requirements, you're a total ‘zaddy’! You can use this phrase when you come across an especially enticing gentleman or when you look in the mirror 😉
Now then, what’s happening in Australia and across the world today?

Who here used to make stilts by tying ropes between old tins? It was one of the few games we used to play as kids. Back in the day, we were pretty inventive and resourceful, and we used to make toys out of random objects. All you needed was a tennis ball to get the kids in the neighbourhood to join in on the fun. Oh, the good old days. Such a simple and innocent way of life, with no iPads, mobile phones, or computers in sight!

Into the dark
Today’s picture is thanks to member Wayne Blair. They posted this stunning photo on our photography forum along with the caption, “The very end of another sunset in Townsville. An evening walk along the Ross River in the Douglas area and I was able to capture this vista. Using the railing of a pedestrian bridge to steady the camera I was able to get this image. Taken April 19.”
Wow! What a breathtaking shot! Look at those pinkish skies, truly mesmerizing! Thanks for sharing this with us, @Wayne Blair!

If you rewind the development of cars past GPS, past antilock brakes and automatic transmissions and even past the Model T, eventually you'll get to the Benz Motor Car No. 1, the missing link between cars and horse-drawn buggies. Karl Benz patented the three-wheeled Motor Car, known as the "Motorwagen," in 1886. It was the first true, modern automobile, meaning Benz is most often identified as the man who invented the car.
