Highlights of Lung Cancer Research
Members of LUNGevity’s staff joined thousands of attendees from the US and around the world to discuss lifesaving cancer research at the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in Chicago from June 2 through June 6. The theme for this year’s conference, “Partnering with Patients: The Cornerstone of Cancer Care and Research,” was in recognition of the importance of shared decision-making in cancer research, healthcare delivery, and treatment planning.

Join the Rally for Medical Research
LUNGevity is proud to be a partner for the 2023 Rally for Medical Research, an annual event that brings together advocates from across the country to support funding increases for the National Institutes of Health. The 2023 Rally takes place in Washington DC, September 13-14, and includes training, a reception, and a day of meetings with congressional offices.

Celebrate Progress with LUNGevity

Save the date for the annual Celebration of Hope and Progress, a great way to kick off Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Join co-chairs Elizabeth and Haitham Wahab at The Rainbow Room in New York on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, where we’ll be honoring Robert A. Winn, MD, Director of the VCU Massey Cancer Center, and learning about the advances being made in lung cancer research and treatment.
Nicole Cohen and Gab Cron will simultaneously host our inaugural Young Professionals Hope and Progress Event. An after-party with lung cancer survivor and DJ April Larken for all guests will follow the events. We hope to see you there.
