Wednesday Edition
Well members, congratulations on reaching another hump day. Oh and good morning of course! What are we all having for breakfast this morning? They say it’s the most important meal of the day eh? Gotta get that energy in! If you’re stumped for ideas, or tired of vegemite toast, we are always talking about great breakfast ideas at the SDC! If you have the best breakfast in the business or some killer recipes, then share them on our forum! We’re never ones to turn down delicious food!
There we go again, off on a food tangent. We have no time for that today however, as we have an absolutely huge bundle of things for you today, starting off of course with our Coles, Woolies, Aldi and IGA deals. There are some red hot scorchers in there today folks!
Next on the agenda is today’s riddle, which was sent to us by member @VinylTed. Don’t be deceived by it’s simplicity, we have had all sorts of answers around the SDC office! Guess we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see which one, if any, is right!
What coat has no arms, stitching, cloth, collar or pockets?
You can’t see it of course, but we all have our hands on our chins, not unlike ‘The Thinker’. Good luck with this one, we are absolutely stumped. However, if you manage a lightbulb moment and crack the answer, then be sure to post it here. If you are indeed right then we’ll shout you a shoutout in tomorrow’s newsletter!
So then, what's happening across Australia and the world today?
-
A fancy party doesn’t have to have a fancy price tag, thanks to Kmart. Turns out they are selling their version of a super pricey item for
$5!
-
We’ve been running tips for sleep of late, and it seems that Aldi has been listening. We take a look at their anti-snoring pillow!
-
Aldi in fact sells a few sleep related products. This $20 product is designed to rid you of headaches and have you sleeping like a baby!
-
Despite her interesting comments about the show's plot, Sam Frost is returning to Home and Away!
-
Bunnings shoppers are going bloody bananas for this $37 product that has changed the bathroom storage game for good!
-
So it seems a US woman has decided to tell us Aussies how to enjoy our coffee! Hold our extra hot, strong, oat milk cappuccinos for a
moment, members 😉
-
World famous and internationally loved TV cook Nigella Lawson is under fire after she posted a picture of a steak dinner so raw, you might hear it moo!
-
Alarm bells have rung for one supermarket shopper after they spotted an issue at Woolworths that could make someone hideously sick!
-
Yesterday we shared some stain removal hacks. While they’re sure to work a treat, shoppers are flocking to Aldi for a little more firepower. Introducing ‘Di-San’!
-
And finally, Today Show hosts Karl Stefanovic and Ally Langdon have been warned to up their game in time for ratings season… or else.
And that’s it for the wrap of today’s news, but as you know, we have plenty more up our sleeves! One thing in particular that we think you will love is our latest guide on the cyber scams for you all to look out for. We've written a comprehensive guide on what you
should look out for with online scams and what you should do if you are a victim of one! You can read this guide here.
Now that's enough from us, be sure to check out our joke of the day, courtesy of @VinylTed will have you in absolute stitches, so make sure to check it out.
Most importantly members, remember to stay safe, and happy reading!

Do you remember when restaurants used to hand out matchbooks? Who used to collect them back in the day? Wouldn’t it be great if this tradition made a return eh?

With hundreds of stain removing products on the market today, it can be difficult to find a good one. Gels, sprays, and detergents all promise sparkling white clothes, but it can be difficult to know which ones perform the best. Some people choose stain removers based on price, while others choose based on performance. However, it seems that there is one brand that is able to offer both, and it’s one we here at the SDC have mentioned before…
It’s none other than Aldi's cult-buy brand, Di San. Shoppers everywhere love Aldi's Di San magic stain remover spray. However, how does the powdered product compare to more expensive brands? Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Compare Health Cover Now*
Three health insurance rate rises in the space of 18 months are what Aussies are being slapped with after a two year long global pandemic. Aussies were paying an average of $230.26 more for their health insurance after the 2021 price hikes. And now from 1 April 2022, a single person over the age of 65 will pay an additional average of about $75* more per year, with families paying an additional average of about $154* more per year.
What few people realise is that there are government rebates out there that could save you hundreds of dollars per year on your cover*. For eligible Aussies, the starting cost of a combined hospital & extras policy comes in at under $23 / week (or $3.22 per day) once the rebate has been claimed.
See if you're eligible for the latest government rebates to get health insurance from under $23 a week.

Sichuan food is most well-known for its hot and spicy flavour, though it may also sport sweet and sour flavours. The most commonly used spices you can find in most households and eateries are "The Five Fragrances", which consist of fennel, pepper, aniseed, cinnamon, clove, chilli and Sichuan pepper.
