Bimonthly News Update On Friday, September 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey, in collaboration with the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, will be hosting a FREE conference - “NJ Healthy Aging Summit: Opioid Safety & Alternatives”, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The goal of this conference is to educate older adults and those who work with the aging population about prescription opioids, their risks and the resources available to prevent and address opioid dependency and promote healthy aging within the older population. The Senate Appropriations Committee on July 31 approved a bill that would maintain current funding for OSHA and the Mine Safety and Health Administration through fiscal year 2026.
