This newsletter is to help inform our community on the District’s progress on the voter‐approved Measure X bond. The improvements made possible by this bond will fund capital improvements that will preserve quality education for years to come.

Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee
This committee is responsible for ensuring that bond proceeds are expended only for the purposes set forth in Measure X, with quarterly meetings open to the public.

San Benito County Campus - Community Meeting
All interested community members are invited to attend this meeting to learn more about the project, as well as provide input on the future campus.

Gilroy Campus: Bridge Project Update
The structural engineering has been completed for the new bridge design. Geotechnical engineering and soil testing is required to submit to the Division of State Architect for review and approval. The geotechnical engineering contract was approved by the Board of Trustees on January 14, 2020, and soil sampling and testing is scheduled for early February 2020.
San Benito County Campus: Project Manager
Damon Felice, of Felice Consulting Services, was hired as the dedicated project manager for the San Benito County Campus on December 10, 2019. Damon will be the primary point of contact for the community and local agencies on this project, and can be contact via email at: dfelice@gavilan.edu
