INNER CITY CHALLENGE The Shadow Minister for Justice will spend 5 days working with Chance UK in North London. The group intervene in the lives of primary school aged children with behavioural difficulties. Mentoring lives early on is the "prevention is better than cure" adage in practice. David Burrowes will work in the office, with parents and in referral assessment. |
CONSERVATIVE PARTY CONFERENCE The Criminal Justice fringe meeting will be held on Monday 29 September 2008, 6pm at the Novotel, Wedgewood Suite. Confirmed speakers include Iain Duncan Smith, Jonathan Aitken, Ray Mallon and Philippa Stroud. The event is outside of the secure zone so doesn't require a conference pass in order to attend. |
INNER CITY CHALLENGE
Stephen Hammond MP has returned from his hard hitting placement with a Birmingham charity working with inner city young people.
The Wimbledon MP volunteered with Fairbridge helping with their Access Course, designed to help hard-to-reach young people get ahold of the necessary social skills in order to advance in life and take hold of training opportunities.
