Setra Strategy and the way forward SETRA's Strategy is focused on: Customer first, Operational excellence, Profitable growth, One Setra, People, Culture and Governance and being a Digitally enabled company. Each strategy requires an extensive amount of change; ranging from how we reach our customers, to business models that are adaptive to customer priorities, to human capital and all the way to cultural change. All are lined up for modernization and upgrade to transform the company to a market leadership position. This is the right time to enable change through empowered TEAM and inspiring leadership, who are willing to take risks, make the mistakes along the way, learn from them and quickly emerge much stronger. The Kingdom Vision 2030 is one of the most comprehensive and progressive nationwide transformation program in the world today. This vision led the Saudi economy to outgrow expectations close to double digit in 2022, making a sizeable leap from the pandemic downturn, and creating opportunities for the Saudi companies in all fields to contribute to the vision and prosper along the way. The great thing is that the vision 2030 has offered giga size developments with projects life to extend beyond 2040. The key success factors for the Saudi companies include being relevant to the change brought upon us by the vision, meanwhile align and adapt to technology and culture trends. In such great times, leadership makes all the difference in benefitting from the present opportunities. The other flip of the coin is the fight for talent in the Saudi market today. Again leadership, more than ever, must set the rules to retain and attract the “good talent”. Talent retention means empowering business and function leaders to make the right decisions vs centralizing the decision. Leaders who are closer to the action on the ground and in the market can make better and more relevant decisions, especially with regards to people as the number one priority. I started the statement by SETRA’s strategy of “Customer First”, I will end with the same. Today’s customers are very different from those 25 years ago; in the way they buy products and services or manage their resources – especially cash – or the way they run their businesses. Today’s customers are smarter, have access to a huge knowledge base and resources over the internet and other sources, hence it is critical for SETRA to instill and nourish cultural change that empowers our people and dedicate our resources to focus on their customers priorities to realize its growth and organizational development targets.
