National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. Celebrate safety, community, and summer! Enjoy DJ entertainment, swimming, games, raffles, snacks, popsicles, K9 demos, and more. Celebrate our annual National Night Out and help strengthen community partnerships in Northbrook.

 

NSMAD: Nile Virus risk level is increasing

According to the North Shore Mosquito Abatement District (NSMAD) the current West Nile Virus risk level is moderate and increasing quickly. You are STRONGLY encouraged to take personal protection measures, like EPA registered repellent. Additionally, wearing proper attire and eliminating stagnant water around property will help reduce risk. Contact NSMAD for assistance with large areas of standing water. learn more at nsmad.org

Cook County Sun and Save Program Reopens

Cook County’s Sun and Save program is back, offering free solar installations for eligible homeowners. Open to owner-occupied homes (1–4 units) with incomes between 80–120% of the Area Median Income. Available through August 31, 2026, or until funds run out.

Shermer Road Corridor Project Watermain Shutdown -  August 5

As part of the Shermer Road Corridor Project, a watermain shutdown is scheduled near Brentwood and Shermer on Tuesday, August 5, starting at 9 a.m., to allow for hydrant relocation.
