President's Message

Dear Local Senate President

You are likely now aware of a legal challenge to our Title 5 regulations related to participatory governance that is being made by an organization outside of our system. We were aware that this action was coming and have been in communication with the Chancellor's Office, the Board of Governors, the leadership of other campus constituencies, and other statewide faculty groups. No one has indicated their support of this effort. Please rest assured that this is being handled appropriately and there is no need to be alarmed. It appears that efforts are underway to draw attention to this effort and it appears prudent to direct our energies elsewhere.
