Good Morning, ladies and gents! Welcome to yet another Monday morning edition of our newsletter. It’s an absolute pleasure to be here in your inbox this morning! We’re very excited about kick-starting our week, so let’s do it in style by giving you the first riddle of the week. Today’s riddle is thanks to member Dennis R.
I make two people out of one. What am I?
Have a good think about this one, I don’t want to give away any answers. But let’s just say, the answer is easier than you think… If you think you know the answer, post it on our forum here! If you get the answer correct, we’ll give you a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter. How generous of us, eh? 😉

Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by member @Helen Brown. This is what Helen had to say about her childhood: ‘I miss the innocence of the 50s and 60s. We never locked our doors, we left keys in the car sometimes. The carefree days of riding our bikes in the street, or an impromptu game of cricket. What I loved most when the nights were hot, was being able to sleep outside on verandahs etc. and taking it for granted that we would be safe.’
These times sound truly incredible. How trusting and safe the community was. I remember growing up we used to ‘shut off’ our street to the rest of the neighbourhood to have our street Christmas party. Everyone would be there with food and drinks. Not one neighbour missed it, you always knew who lived around you! I don’t see many street parties these days, but I agree with Helen, it seems like nowadays communities aren’t as safe.

She is a block away from the petrol station and walks there. On arrival, she asks the attendant if she can borrow a petrol can to go fill up her car.
