The world of music is forever changing and so is Higher Music Education, it must adapt to new trends while developing pedagogical methods which will empower students to pursue their dream careers.  We take pride in our ability to inspire the music scene and set new artistic agendas through a combination of vision, courage and creativity.

At the upcoming AEC Congress in Milan, the themes of innovation, inclusion, and interdisciplinarity will guide discussions on how to support participants as changemakers in higher music education. This perspective is essential across all areas, from the competitive music industry to collaborative environments in primary schools, highlighting the need for fresh inspiration in our institutions.

In this newsletter, you’ll find updates on various projects, initiatives, and events, including the establishment of a new permanent working group focused on traditional, folk, and global music, driven by increasing member interest.

Additionally, we address critical issues facing European cultural life, including insights from the recent State of Culture report by Culture Action Europe, which explores our dependency on external political agendas and provides updates on EU cultural policy negotiations.
