Publishers note

With summer just around the corner, the warm weather across the country already feels like a promising start to the season ahead, bringing optimism for the industry.

This week has been all about celebrating excellence, both locally and internationally. Riviera has been recognised as ‘Large Employer of the Year’ at the 2024 Queensland Training Awards, alongside winning an esteemed international accolade for its innovative Academy of Excellence apprentice training program.

Internationally, METSTRADE delivered a host of prestigious recognitions. From the Boat Builder Awards to the DAME Awards, exceptional individuals, businesses, and products were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the industry. Congratulations to the METS team for hosting such a successful and impactful event.

Meanwhile, there’s plenty to explore in new product launches, advancements in big-boat innovation, and updates from Marine Rescue.

I do hope you enjoy this week’s news.
