Letter from the President

Happy Expo month, everyone!

Firstly, I want to remind everyone again to please sign up for the Small Business Expo. Our Committee is making a lot of great changes to the format of the event this year, and I hope it will be even better than the previous years! You can find the sign up link at ndccc.org or later below in this newsletter. This is the last week to register so don't delay! 

Secondly, we STILL have more Eating For Education nights coming up. Please remember the dates when you are planning out your weekly meal schedules. This month is Wednesday, September 9. So go get good food and help an even better cause!

Thirdly, we want to hear from all of you how we are doing as a Chamber of Commerce, so we have created a survey for you to complete. This will let us get a better feel on the heart of our community, and let us make the proper changes to better serve you in the future. It can be found HERE! 

Lastly, it is OFFICIALLY the best time of the year! From here on out it is -ber month central! So that means we have Small Business of the Year voting, the Midway Christmas Parade in November coming up, our annual awards voting, AND our annual December Christmas Party. So be sure to dust off your parade floats, consider your donation items for the silent auction, and get ready to hit the polls (a provided piece of paper and pen at our next regular meeting)! Otherwise we will be back to normal meetings in October. 

Cannot wait to see everyone for a wonderful Expo and great community engagement!

Habitat for Humanity

Howdy!

Your Lexington Area Habitat is on the hunt for our 2026 Gala Sponsors. And this years event, is one you definitely do not want to miss! Not only is our theme a dazzling denim hoe-down (channel your inner Dolly), but we have also added new entertainment to your evening line up.

An old fashioned, live auction with an auctioneer who will have you stomping your boots to claim a prize from fellow bidders! And musical entertainment from an up-incoming local favorite, Quartz Crisis. Who’s musical talent will have you singing along, and cutting a rug, from the first song!

Our Habitat Family will also have extra cause to celebrate that evening because we are building a home RIGHT NOW for a Future Habitat Homeowner family. And of course, in order for us to continue to do great work for our families, we need YOUR HELP to make their dreams a reality.
