A friendly reminder that the final property tax instalment notices will be issued in August. As municipal election preparations continue, be sure to register to vote and make your voice heard. If you are interested in running, please contact the Township by August 21st.
Looking for summer recreation opportunities? The Kerwood Park is still available for rentals throughout August and September.

The Township of Adelaide Metcalfe's next Municipal Election will be held on October 26, 2026.

2026 Warden's Charity Golf Tournament
The Township of Adelaide Metcalfe was proud to participate in the Warden's Charity Golf Tournament - raising net total of $36,550.61 towards Four Counties Heath Services Foundation, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation, and the Optimist Club of Kerwood Adelaide Metcalfe.
Optimist Clubs' Sports Day and Chicken BBQ
On July 25, the Optimist Club of Kerwood-Adelaide-Metcalfe welcomed the Adelaide Metcalfe Fire Department to their Annual Sports Day and Chicken BBQ. Happy to support such a great and fun community event!

Before shovels hit the ground, check in with the Township Office to make sure you have all the permits and approvals you need to get started!
Be aware and prepared to handle an extreme heat event.
How you can prepare:
- Stay hydrated by drinking fluids before feeling thirsty.
- Dress in light and loose-fitting clothing.
- Wear a hat and apply sunscreen.
- Avoid using appliances that will heat your home.
- If you must do physical activity, take breaks!

Tips to keep your security up to date:
Enable automatic updates for all software on your devices if the option is available.
If you find that you're prompted to update at an inconvenient time, try setting a reminder during off hours like right before bed.
Property Tax Billing
The Township issues two property tax bills per year that are broken into four tax instalments: February, May, August and November. Unless otherwise indicated, residents receive their tax bills by mail. Please note that a $15 fee applies for issuing a replacement bill.
The Township offers several convenient options for paying your property tax bill:
Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP) Plan – Have your payments automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the due dates.
Online Banking – Add the Township as a payee through your financial institution’s online banking system.
At Your Financial Institution – Pay in person at your bank or credit union.
By Mail – Send a cheque payable to the Township of Adelaide Metcalfe. Please allow time for delivery before the due date.
In Person – Visit the Township Office to pay by cash, cheque, or debit.
Online by Credit Card (Paymentus) – Make secure credit card payments online through Paymentus (service fees apply).

Draft Official Plan Amendment No.16 for Public Consultation
The proposed Official Plan Amendment is an important step in shaping the Township's future growth and development. As part of the public consultation process, residents had the opportunity to provide written and oral feedback on July 20, 2026, before Council considers the proposed amendments.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING - Amendment No. 1 to the Adelaide Metcalfe Community Improvement Plan
A PUBLIC MEETING will be held on Monday, August 10th at 7:00 pm to allow the public to make formal written and/or oral submissions on the proposed amendments, prior to Council consideration. The meeting will take place in the Township council chambers at 2340 Egremont Drive and will be live-streamed.

In general, Adelaide Metcalfe Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. Please check the Agenda & Minutes page of our website for verification of meetings, times and locations. All meetings of Council and Committees of Council are open to the public (with minor exceptions).
