Thanks to everyone who came to our events in 2024 and those who reached out for advice.In the New Year, we will host another series of Capacity Building webinars in February and March 2025 to help those applying for European Cooperation Projects funding in 2025. The call opened on 10th December and if you would like to find out more you can still sign up for our Cooperation Projects funding webinar on Thursday 12th December. We will also host a Cooperation Projects Application Workshop on Thursday 16th January, 2025. See below for more information and registration links as well some updates on calls from current Creative Europe projects such as Aerowaves and Island Connects. Come along to our Capacity Building Information Webinars to learn more about how to develop your application and project design under the priority areas of Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability, Fair Remuneration & Paying the Artist, and building effective communication and Dissemination Strategies. This series of online webinars will provide useful information, resources and practical strategies to organisations in advance of applying to Creative Europe.
The focus of this session will be general information about the next Creative Europe Cooperation Projects call. In the webinar we will outline the aims and priorities of the call, eligibility and changes in this year’s call
document. There will be an open Q&A at the end for people to ask questions. The webinar will have closed captions. Creative Europe has also funded Island Connect II (2024-2026) a further evolution of the project which again features IACC as a partner. Cooperation Projects Application Workshop, 16th January, 2025
This webinar will be a workshop dedicated to Cooperation Project applications for organisations who intend to apply for Cooperation Project funding. We will give a detailed breakdown of the call application and how to apply. Note: If you already registered for the previous webinar dates then you are still registered for this new date (it is the same link) and you should have received a confirmation email from Zoom.
The Circulation of European Literary Works from Creative Europe supports the translation and circulation of contemporary literature. In order to support European publishers in preparing applications for the Creative Europe call for Circulation of European Literary Works 2025, the Creative Europe Desk Serbia, in cooperation with CED Italy, CED Portugal, CED Tunisia, CED Lithuania, CED Georgia, CED Ireland, and CED Finland will host a European Publishers Pitching and Networking Webinar webinar on 18th December at 10am Irish time (11am CET). The webinar aims to foster networking among publishers from the listed countries, enhance partnership opportunities, and improve the quality of project applications. Key features of the open call will be highlighted as well as two successful projects, two publishers and a selection of authors from each of the participating countries. This webinar is ideal for publishing houses of all sizes, translators, and authors, especially from the eight mentioned countries but is also open to participants from all 40 countries involved in the Creative Europe programme.
Would you like to create a sustainable project but you don’t know where to start? Culture Moves Europe has created two documents with lists of practical tips to encourage prospective applicants and grantees to adopt more sustainable practices in their mobility projects.Tips on Environmental SustainabilityFrom travel, accommodation, equipment choices to energy or waste management, here are two list of ideas to inspire you. Simply pick the ones that are within your control. Remember, even small changes can lead to a big impact! Download Sustainability Tips for Artists and Cultural Professionals This guide is to help applicants and selected grantees get inspired, we have compiled a list of practical tips on how to make your mobility project more sustainable. Culture Moves Europe encourages artists and cultural professionals to adopt sustainable practices in their mobility project. This could be both while travelling or during the implementation of your project. While environmental sustainability is not required and does not count as eligibility criteria, you can earn an extra 2 points in the selection process by incorporating it. This initiative is part of the Greening strategy of Creative Europe and aims to promote environmental awareness across the cultural sector. CME encourages hosts, residency organisations and international partners to make residencies more sustainable. Island Connect is a collaborative programme supported by Creative Europe that is a partnership between seven performing arts organisations, working with residencies located on or associated with European islands of different countries. The Irish Aerial Creation Centre is one of the partners.The project aims to support the artists and arts companies in their personal and professional development within the project’s framework. They have three open calls for 2025. All artists wishing to participate will be asked to critically engage with the themes of insularity, islander identities or island socio-political realities in a wider European context comparing the similarities and difficulties that emerge from diverse island regions of the project. SpringLab is a vital component of the Island Connect project. The next SpringLab is in Tenerife, from 30th March to 5th April 2025. A person responsible for artistic direction from each selected company will be invited to join the workshop with the aim of providing the companies with tools for the development, creativity and sustainability of their artistic projects. The workshop has two parts; one on project development and dramaturgy, and one on one personal leadership. There may also be seminars from guest speakers. SpringLab is a vital component of the Island Connect project, offering valuable professional development to artists at no cost. This free training is a mandatory part of the programme for one artist from each selected company, from all three Open Calls. For artists based in Ireland
One member of each selected company will attend the Springlab in Tenerife. Deadline for applications 14th January 2025 (23.59, in any time zone).
Aerowaves Dance Across Europe announces its #Twenty25 artists! The 2025 line-up includes work from 17 countries and showcases an exciting and diverse selection of emerging dance makers working across Europe. Irish company Junk Ensemble's ‘Dances Like A Bomb’ has been selected. The Twenty25 artists will present their work at the Spring Forward Festival from 24 – 26 April 2025 in Gorizia and Nova Gorica (IT/SI), joint European Capitals of Culture, hosted by Artisti Associati.
The Music Moves Europe Awards are organised by European showcase festival Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in partnership with Reeperbahn Festival and co-funded by the Creative Europe program.Each year, 15 emerging artists are nominated and eligible to win an MME Award. Nominees are given the opportunity to perform at the Eurosonic Festival (ESNS) in front of major festival bookers and industry professionals. A selection of nominees and winners will also be invited to play at another showcase festival - Reeperbahn Festival - in Germany. There are three ways to win an Award. There's an MME Award, a Grand Jury Award and a Public Choice Award. Irish band Kingfishr are nominated for 2025 Music Moves Europe AwardsKingfishr are Eddie, Fitz and McGoo, a 3-piece who met at the University of Limerick, Ireland, where they started writing songs together and releasing their debut single 'flowers-fire' in May of 2022, the week before their final exams. They have since released a bunch of singles, two EPs and a Live From Dublin album to date. Citing U2, Hans Zimmer and Ben Howard as influences, the grand atmospheric nature of these artists can be found deeply woven into the DNA of the Limerick folk trio.
