Click here Salford Supported Employment NewsletterSuccessful launch and lift off We have had an incredible start to the new Supported Employment Service which launched in Salford on 6 March to help 140 residents achieve their career dreams. It has been fantastic to meet so many talented individuals over the last few months. To find out more about their interests and aspirations and to give them the extra help and support needed to ensure they have every chance of securing paid, meaningful employment. The service has proved to be very popular with an amazing 27 referrals and 26 starts already. To find out how you can refer someone for support or how your organisation can get involved and benefit from the service please see below. In Salford we believe Supported Employment is everyone’s responsibility Salford Supported Employment Service, run by Salford City Council and the Growth Company helps people who are currently unemployed to find suitable paid jobs. The service supports individuals with learning disabilities and / or autism providing people with one-to-one support, including in-work training and guidance for both participants and employers, which can include workplace adjustments to benefit all employees. We’re hosting drop-in sessions at Gateways across Salford where you can come and chat to the team and ask any questions you may have.
