Now to be held next week on February 10, I am looking forward to sharing our plans with you, including an overview of the work we are doing to market WA interstate and around the world. While some have had an excellent school holiday period, I am aware that is not the same across our industry, and I know many of you are anxiously awaiting news of a new reopening date. Like you, we can’t wait for the return of visitors from around the world when it is safe to do so, and I hope giving you an insight into the work we’re doing now will help in your planning. To give you an idea of what’s ahead, we’re working closely with Tourism Australia on its Working Holiday Maker campaign. This campaign was launched this week to create a renewed interest in coming to WA to live, work and play. Our teams have been keeping up to date with the latest news from tourism businesses, including new ventures such as the recently opened Gage Roads, and the beautiful work that has been done to revitalise the main precincts and accommodation offerings on Rottnest Island. If you have not already registered for the industry update, please do so – the details are below.
