Tuesday Edition
Happy Tuesday, dearest members! I (Jarred) hope you’re starting your day well. I’m starting mine with the usual optimism — and tomatoes. A lot of tomatoes. Like, the kind of quantity that would get me weird stares at the grocery if anyone saw my trolley. So, how did I end up with more tomatoes than is socially acceptable (if there ever is such a thing)? Well, ever since the pandemic, I’ve taken a liking to online grocery deliveries as it really takes the stress out of going to the shops. Yesterday, I found out I was short on a couple of pantry staples, including tomatoes. Since I’m no stranger to selecting what items I want to be delivered, I went through the whole thing in a jiffy. Which, in hindsight, is where I went wrong. I didn’t see that the amount I selected for tomatoes was too many! Just think about the shock I had when I received the delivery and saw how much I had
inadvertently bought. I can only imagine what the workers were thinking when they were packing my order! I’m now scrambling to find recipes using tomatoes on our Cooking and Recipes forum, and thankfully, I’ve come across a few. So, the moral of the story is to make sure you check your online orders, folks!
Tomato tales aside, let’s move on to our riddle answer! To jog your memory, here’s what the riddle is:

Today’s blast from the past was shared by member @Bullwinkle. ‘My dad gave me this Teddy Bear when I was born… It is rather faded now, but it was blue,’ member @Bullwinkle said, because her father was expecting a boy. She also shared her christening shoes, which, together with the cute stuffed bear, are at least 67 years old! ‘Still in good condition, and much loved,’ in her own words. A man who'd just died is delivered to a local mortuary wearing an expensive, expertly tailored black suit.
The blonde mortician asks the deceased's wife how she would like the body dressed. She points out that the man does look good in the black suit he is already wearing.
Oh, I know, I know… ‘Another blonde joke?’ But this one from member @Luckyus has quite the twist at the end, and to say I laughed would be an understatement. A fair warning, too: it's quite rude! Click here to find out the rest of the joke!

Adolf Hitler was Time Magazine's Man of the Year in 1938. Shocking, right? But the distinction, forerunner of the more modern Person of the Year, went to Hitler not because of anything great. As explained by the magazine, the Man of the Year applied to newsmakers who affected the world for better — and for worse. Time unflinchingly called out Hitler's aggressive actions in present-day Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, eventually leading to World War II.
