March 2023 newsletter from St Petroc's Early Years!

Dear Parents & Carers,

I hope you are all looking forward to the Easter break - the children are very excited for the Easter Bunny to visit!

I would like to remind you all that from 17th April (after we return from our Easter closure), that the increased fee rates will apply. You should all have received a letter with the details of the increases, but please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

I hope to see as many of you as possible at the Easter Quiz night at Bude Rugby Club on 6th April to raise funds for the setting - we do have a few tables remaining so please let us know if you'd like to book.

Lastly, please do share the details of our new Holiday Club with family and friends that may be interested - the details of

which you can view by clicking here.

With kind regards,

Tahira White

World Book Day

At the beginning of the month, we celebrated World Book Day. The children looked fantastic in their outfits - it was wonderful to see the children talking about the books they enjoy most and dressing up as their favourite characters. Thank you to all of the parents and carers for their efforts, and helping to make it a such a memorable day for the children.

Our new Holiday Club

If you haven't already seen the details of our new Holiday Club - please take a look. We are offering full day and half day spaces to children up to 8 years of age, with a variety of activities including cooking, sensory play, construction, painting, clay plus trips to Crooklets beach (depending on staffing levels and weather conditions).

Illness

With lots of bugs doing the rounds at the moment, we thought it might be useful to outline for our parents and carers how long a child should remain at home and when children can return back to the setting after a period of illness. Please click the button below to read the full blog article.

A letter to our new King!

The children recently visited our local post office to post a letter and drawings the children had created to wish King Charles well for his forthcoming coronation.

They also enjoyed purchasing a stamp and posting the letter.  They met the post master and other members of staff who work in the post office and we were made very welcome.

Kind Regards,
