Constitution Alteration Bill introduced to ParliamentOn 30 March 2023 the Government introduced a Bill to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution through a Voice. The Constitution Alteration (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice) 2023 sets out the constitutional amendment and determines the referendum question. It's the first formal step to hold a referendum by the end of this year. Read the referendum question and proposed alteration to the constitution.
