Sunday Edition
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! And welcome to another Sunday with the Seniors Discount Club! As always, I (Maddie) am absolutely over the moon to be here. You lot know how much I love our Sunday newsletters, so why don’t we get straight into things?
It wouldn’t be our Sunday newsletter if it wasn’t for our quote of the week and this week we have a wonderful quote courtesy of member Ian D. Thank you for sending through this quote Ian D. I really needed to hear it this week!
‘All days are good, some days are better than others.’
Well, isn’t that the truth? I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a bit of a rollercoaster of a week! I am absolutely fine, it’s just been ‘one of those weeks’, if you know what I mean. (I am more than certain that you do). And when I was writing this newsletter and came across member Ian D’s quote I just knew I had to include it today. Because it’s true, it’s not like ‘bad’ days are all bad, often our ‘bad’ days are just not the best. It doesn’t mean they weren’t good, it just means they could have been better and I think that’s a nice way to flip the narrative a little. So next time you’re having ‘one of those days’, remind yourself that all days are good, some days are just better than others.
Now, let’s take a look at what happened across Australia and around the world this week, shall we?

Oh, and did you know that Health Insurers are increasing their premiums by an average of 2.90% on April 1? Although that doesn’t seem like a ‘large’ increase, for an Aussie over the age of 65 that’s an additional $167 per year for their health cover. It’s worse if you’re with one of the ‘Big 5 Funds’ - think BUPA, Medibank, HCF, nib and HBF - you could be paying a whopping $194
more per year for the exact same health cover. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Compare and save on your health insurance before April 1 here.*
