Celebrating a local sporting pioneer As part of Offerton Park's 60th anniversary celebrations, we were proud to honour Myra, one of Stockport's own footballing trailblazers and a member of the legendary Corinthians team. More than 30 people attended a special screening of a documentary showcasing the remarkable story of the Corinthians, who challenged the Football Association's ban on women's football and went on to achieve international success, remaining almost unbeaten for decades.
