ASB Awareness Week brings communities together 

Communities across Stockport came together during ASB Awareness Week, with customers, partners and local organisations helping to raise awareness, encourage reporting and promote safer neighbourhoods.

Strathclyde House makeover

Customers at Strathclyde House played a key role in bringing this wonderful new mural to life, helping shape the design every step of the way.

Inspired by the words, ideas and themes that are important to them, the finished artwork is a vibrant celebration of the people, stories and community that make Strathclyde House feel like home.

Celebrating Stockport Pride 

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who turned up to celebrate Stockport Pride with us at the weekend. It was fantastic to see so many people coming together to show their support, celebrate diversity, and enjoy the day.

Events like Pride are a great reminder of the importance of creating communities where everyone feels welcomed, valued and able to be themselves. 

Celebrating a local sporting pioneer

As part of Offerton Park's 60th anniversary celebrations, we were proud to honour Myra, one of Stockport's own footballing trailblazers and a member of the legendary Corinthians team.

More than 30 people attended a special screening of a documentary showcasing the remarkable story of the Corinthians, who challenged the Football Association's ban on women's football and went on to achieve international success, remaining almost unbeaten for decades.

Help us keep homes pest-free

We’re committed to helping keep our homes and neighbourhoods safe, clean and comfortable. If you think you have a pest problem, such as rats, mice or insects, it’s important to report it to Stockport Council so they can asses and deal with it quickly.

Mutual Exchange

Are you finding it hard to secure a move through Homechoice? If so, Mutual Exchange can be the quickest way to choose your next home.

Between April 2025-26,185 customers successfully moved homes via Mutual Exchange.

What is a mutual exchange? A Mutual Exchange is where you can swap your Stockport Homes or Housing Association property with another customer.

Current SHG tenants can now register free of charge with the national Homeswapper service: https://www.homeswapper.co.uk/. This is particularly useful for customers looking to move out of the Stockport borough.
