Chambers Celebrate the Accomplishments of the Network

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce's Annual General Meeting (AGM) & Convention represents one of the most significant opportunities for business leaders from across the province to come together to network with peers, debate policy issues important to the Ontario business community, and shape our advocacy agenda for the year ahead.

This year, we come together in the heart of Ontario's cottage country. Our work over the course of the three days will demonstrate that together, we are stronger and the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce will be there to celebrate the accomplishments of the Ontario Chamber Network.

PROPOSED POLICY COMPENDIUM
The proposed policy compendium contains the proposed policy resolutions for debate at the AGM on May 4, 2019. These resolutions were developed and submitted by our network of chambers of commerce and boards of trade across Ontario.

1. Private retail in Ontario
2. The supply shortage
3. Edible cannabis products
4. The need for greater public education and awareness on cannabis
5. Recreational cannabis and the workplace
6. Skills and workforce development

Turning Agri-food Regulatory Reform Promises into Action

In this latest report in our Regulate Smarter series, Cultivating Competitiveness: Turning Agri-food Regulatory Reform Promises into Action, we outline how the success of Canadian farmers and food manufacturers is connected to the performance of the regulatory systems that govern their activities.

To learn more on how Canada’s regulatory system is a mix of complex, overlapping rules from all levels of government that has created a costly and uncertain environment to run a business, visit RegulateSmarter.ca

Free Content Marketing Basics Workshop - May 9th

The consumer buying cycle is changing. Rather than going straight to a retail store, over 80% of consumers now gather information online first; reading an average of 3 pieces of online content before making a purchase. Content marketing allows you to influence consumers, and capture leads, at this now critical information gathering stage. Not only that, over time content marketing has been proven to cost 62% less than traditional advertising methods.
