Job Vacancy: Session Facilitator (Mainly Music NZ Trust)

Paid permanent part-time: 5 hours a week, HYBRID
Location: Tawa, Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington)

This is an exciting part-time opportunity to join the Mainly Music NZ Trust team as a
permanent Session Facilitator at Arohata Prison. You will be leading weekly Mainly Music sessions with the support of another Session Facilitator. The sessions aim to build attachment between mātua and tamaiti, as well as develop tamariki educationally.

This full-time role covers the Central North Island and above, with camps in incredible locations like Ruapehu, Raglan, and Pōnui Island. You’ll build relationships with young people and leaders, support youth camps, and help create spaces where faith, adventure, and belonging come together.

Faithful Stewardship: Growing Resources for Lasting Kingdom Impact

Many charities and faith-based organisations hold reserves, manage donor funds, or steward resources intended to serve their mission over the long term. Yet making confident financial decisions, particularly around investing, can feel complex and out of reach.

In this practical and thought-provoking session, Keryn Martin (Kaitiaki Foundation) will explore how organisations can strengthen their financial foundations through clearer thinking, better governance, and a long-term perspective.

Drawing on his experience supporting charities across Aotearoa, Keryn will unpack:

• How to think about reserves, cash flow, and long-term sustainability
• The role of investing (and when it may or may not be appropriate)
• Key governance considerations including risk, time horizon, and purpose alignment
• How organisations can make informed decisions without losing sight of mission

This session is not about selling a financial approach. It’s intended to equip leaders and boards to better understand their options, ask the right questions, and steward resources wisely for lasting impact.
