Sunday Edition
Goooood morning lovely members. How is everyone doing this morning? It’s been a crazy week with wild weather across most of the country, so we just want to say to any of you who have had a shocking week, that we hope you’re okay and if there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. Life has been throwing us all some curveballs at the moment and the best thing we can do is support one another! We hope you’re feeling supported, heard, and seen by our little community.
Now, let’s take a look at this week’s quote of the week. Shall we?
‘Don’t let the bad days make you think you have a bad life.’
Oh my goodness, I just absolutely love this quote! As you may, or may not know, I try to find our ‘quote of the week’ on a little social media app called ‘Pinterest’ (I highly recommend downloading it if you’re a bit quote obsessed like I am). Sometimes it takes me two seconds, and other times it takes me a few days. I just want to make sure I always give you lot a good quote to ponder on and I think this quote does exactly that! Maybe today, this week, this month, or even this year has been a bad one. Maybe you’ve been thrown curveball, after curveball. Maybe so much has happened that getting out of bed in the morning feels like an impossible task. But don’t let the bad days, the bad weeks, the bad months, or the bad years convince you that you have a bad life. There is always something to be grateful for. Maybe it’s the people you love, maybe it’s the friendly neighbour, the local
cafe, today’s newspaper, or something as little as a well-made cup of tea. It’s the really little things that can make all the difference in our day. So I hope you can look back at today, even if it’s a bad day, and find one thing that made you smile.
Anywho, enough rambling Maddie. Tell me, what happened across Australia and around the world this week?

Today’s Yesterday’s Australia segment is brought to you by member @possum2512. ‘Where does one start? Cracker night and Christmas holidays. Seeing the little flavoured milk under the tree out front of primary school when arriving. Using the teacher's large metal hand-rotated pencil sharpener on her desk. Or listening for the jaffas as they are rolled down the wooden stairs in the pictures during intermission (none wasted-all eaten) while old Mrs Anderson plays the piano. Sunday roast and waiting and listening patiently for the ice cream van after lunch. Playing slot cars after girl guides then going to a milk bar for a lime spider and a huge bag of lollies for just
20c. Oh, there are just so many more. 😀👏’
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing all of these with us, @possum2512. Lime spiders used to be my absolute favourite growing up too! But I felt like not many people liked them. Much like a ‘Splice’, they were a bit of a hit or a miss with the crowd!
