This week's top 5 things to doIssue 251 | Grayson Perry
Thursday 6 January
Norfolk has lots of events for you to enjoy this upcoming week, be amazed by the creative works of Grayson Perry. Join Alan Horn for his exhibition of the neglected sea defences and prepare to giggle the night away as you watch the best of the Nimmo Twins at Norwich Theatre. Take a trip to Hickling to explore or take a peaceful walk around Redwings grounds with the horses.
The Sainsbury Centre introduces Perry's explosive and creative works between 1982 and 1994. In these, he addresses the themes of gender, identity, his home county of Essex, and the vagaries of the art world – all of which are integral to Perry's practice today.
Displaying the pots, plates and sculptures that first made Perry's name, this exhibition shines a light on the potential of pottery to address radical issues and human stories. On until Sunday 30 January
