Did you know?Originally proposed to be named "New King's College", New College was founded in 1962. This makes us one of the youngest colleges at UofT. However, we're also the largest, with over 5000 students! Click HERE for a New College history timeline.
Why SPROUT?Our goal for the program is to help you grow in some way, shape, or form! We encourage you to "bloom where you are planted" -- meaning we want you to develop at New College. We hope that New College becomes a community where you feel rooted. Commuter OrientationCalling all incoming commuter students! The Office of Residence and Student Life is excited to welcome you to our in-person Commuter Orientation on July 15th, 2026, from 10am to 4pm! In this full day orientation program, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with your peers, hear from upper-year commuters about their tips and tricks for commuting, participate in games and activities, and take a tour of the best commuter-friendly spots on campus!
