Congratulations to Our 2020 Excellence in Construction Winners!
On February 3, ASA-HC members gathered in front of their computers for a VIRTUAL Excellence In Construction Awards celebration like no other!
This SNL-themed event was a chance to honor Houston construction’s superstars and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with fellow members. We followed it up with a we’ll-come-to-you awards parade folks could watch on Facebook!

How to Develop a Craft Training Program

C3’s Craft Training Endorsement program provides recognition to construction firms that have documented and implemented training programs that:
- Demonstrate corporate leadership commitment to the development of craft workers
- Implement craft training programs for all craft workers
- Establish a more sustainable workforce through craft training connected to the career path
But what if you don't have a craft training program in place? Angela Robbins Taylor will walk participants through steps to get one in place at your company.

EIC LIVE AWARDS PARADE
Social distancing wasn’t a Debbie Downer this year! After announcing our 2020 EIC awards via live broadcast on February 3, we did our first EVER award parade two days later! We hopped into that van down by the river to deliver awards (and a few surprises) to our winners. We’ve NEVER EIC’d like this!
DID YOU KNOW?
The bill filing deadline for this session of the Texas legislature is Friday, March 12. During the first five weeks of the eight and-a-half-week filing time, more than 1,800 bills were filed. With an average of more than 4,300 bills filed during the last four sessions, that leaves approximately 2,500 bills to be filed in the last three and-a-half weeks of the filing timeframe. Legislators will then have until May 31 to decide which bills will pass and which will fail.
