UK-China Disability Arts Forum

Kris Halpin – the UK musician whose work intersects music, technology and Disability – will be taking part in the UK-China Disability Arts Forum on the 3 December, marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The forum is free and open to watch online with key note speeches from other disability pioneers including Jenny Sealey, Artistic Director of UK’s Graeae who has developed a new theatrical language and aesthetics of artistic access experimenting with bilingual British Sign Language (BSL) and English.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2022
 

3 December marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year it looks at innovation and transformative solutions for inclusive development. You can head to Disability Arts International, our dedicated website promoting the work of excellent disabled artists, disabled-led companies and inclusive arts organisations around the world for resources, case studies and toolkits.

‘Feeling Her Way’ comes to the UK
 

Sonia Boyce's Feeling Her Way, which won the prestigious award for the Best National Participation at La Biennale di Venezia 2022, will head to the UK next year.

The exhibition will run at the Turner Contemporary in Margate 4 February—7 May, before heading to Leeds from 25 May—5 November 2023.

UK/Poland Arts Scoping Grants
 

Applications are now open for scoping grants in preparation for a proposed UK/Poland season in 2025.

We're keen to support the creation of new work, new collaborations and innovative activity and we have grants of £2,500 available to start developing conversations and establishing partnerships. The grants are open to arts and cultural organisations in the UK and Poland.

British Council and Eurovision 2023: Open call
 

Culture Liverpool is looking for artists and creatives for a major cultural festival in Liverpool as the city gets set to host the Eurovision Song Contest in May.

As a commissioning partner, we want to hear from Ukrainian and UK-based artists to collaborate on new projects which celebrate the power of music to bring communities together. Part of our UK/Ukraine Season.
