Nominations closing Monday 24 April

In 2023, we have redesigned our awards to better reflect the incredible work RSA members are doing for patients and their community. 

New awards include:

  • RSA Leader Award
  • Dedication to Practice Advancement and Innovation Award
  • RSA Health Equity Award - Team or Individual Award
  • Patients First Award - Team or Individual Award

Nominating yourself, your team or a colleague for an award is an opportunity to shine a light on those who have made a difference. 

Awards will be presented at the Conference Party at the RSA Conference.

Birgit Munro Memorial Scholarship

The Birgit Munro Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Birgit Munro, a renal nurse who died in 1992, aged 36, after a sudden illness.  

Grants for up to $500 are available and submissions for the grant are now open! 

Expressions of Interest are still open for the position of Trustee in the Birgit Munro Memorial Scholarship Fund. Click here for more information on how to apply.

Latest Research Initiatives

The Australian and New Zealand nephrology nursing workforce: clinical pressure and organisational culture

Objective: We explored how nephrology trained nurses are impacted by daily caseload pressure, organisational support and workplace education.

Conclusion: The nephrology nursing workforce will face important challenges over the next decade and there must be an organisational response to prevent continued staff shortages.

WCEA stands for the World Continuing Education Alliance and is a platform that RSA members have access to that hosts all our online learning resources. 

Every RSA member has access to WCEA however the log in details are different from your RSA log in details. You will have been emailed your WCEA login details however if you are unsure, just email lucy@renalsociety.org and she can resend.
