Good morning

Good morning and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I (Maddie) cannot contain my excitement because usually, we don’t do a New Years Day newsletter we do a New Years virtual card instead, but I thought you know what? What better way to start the year than with a newsletter from the Seniors Discount Club? 😉 So, here it is! The very first SDC newsletter to ever be sent on the first of January. A true milestone, and I am over the moon to be sharing it with you.

So, how are we all feeling? Are there any sore heads or are we doing just fine? I feel like challenging you to a little brain training to see how well you really are holding up. How about you give our Expert OzWord a go to kickstart the year? I’ll be keeping an eye on the comment section to see how quickly you manage to get the answer correct. I have no doubt you’ll be providing me with plenty of New Year’s Day entertainment, so please consider this a thank you in advance!

Now, what’s happening across Australia and around the world today?

I had such a good laugh reading this Christmas memory! A big thank you to member @Gizmilbo for sharing it with us all. ‘I remember that when I met my husband, that his family had a tradition that after lunch on Christmas Day we all had to sing a song. Participation was mandatory and it didn't matter if you couldn't sing. So embarrassing. 😲’ Oh my, member @Gizmilbo, I think I would have had to break up the relationship then and there 😂 You’re a real trooper for getting up there and having a go! If you have a nostalgic memory you’d like to share, post it on our forum here!

Unbelievable coffee art

If you’re a long time member, you will know how much I LOVE coffee and coffee art, so when I came across this photograph shared by member @Suzanne rose my jaw was on the floor! I have never seen coffee art this extravagant in my life! According to member @Suzanne rose, this coffee was made in Bali using a laser machine and the image on the coffee is a photo of member @Suzanne rose’s newly married daughter and son-in-law. How wonderful! If you have coffee art you’d like to share, or a photo of anything else, share it on our forum here!
