Eliot Wright (BFA 2012) has curated an exhibition of his grandfather Don Wright's photography at The Rooms, in St. John's, NF. Closes January 22, 2023. CBC interview here. Read more here. 

 

Bloodline / Mythica  / Pieces of the Past, Nova Scotia artists Wes Fraser (BFA 2013), Ineke Graham and Janice Leonard (BFA 1981) Chase Gallery  closes July 28. Read more here.

 

Stephen Kelly (BFA 2001) Joined the department of computing and software as a tenure-track assistant professor at McMaster University in July.  Read more here

 

Lived in room: objects frozen in time by Camila Salcedo (BFA 2018) and denirée isabel (BFA 2016) has opened at the Mary E. Black Gallery. This exhibition  Closes August 28. Read more here

 

Kelli Janson (BFA 1993) the exhibition Open Roads comes to Sissiboo Coffee Roaster in Bear River. The exhibition closes August 30. Learn more here. 

 

The Centre for Craft Nova Scotia has begun its Summer Professional Development Residency with familiar faces including alumni Jiho Choi (BFA 2021), Hannah Proctor (BFA 2022) Jacey Byrne (BFA 2022). Read more here.

Inflation is hitting everyone hard and NSCAD students are no exception. Students are concerned about the rising cost of art supplies. If you are in a position to contribute to the Materials Fund for the fall semester NSCAD's students would be very grateful.

Call for Proposals: Logo Design
Acadia University is inviting Indigenous artists to submit proposals for a logo treatment development for our
Indigenous Centre, Welkaqnik. This logo will honour Acadia University’s place in Mi’kma’ki, Indigenous students, and alumni. $2000 prize. Deadline: August 15 Learn more here.
