As summer winds down, we're looking ahead to an exciting fall season with opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn, and take action.
In this newsletter, I'd like to highlight one area of our work that's growing in exciting ways: youth engagement. We're thrilled to welcome Ruthie Yudelson as our new Youth Empowerment Coordinator. Ruthie brings a passion for environmental education, farming, and Jewish
community-building, and she'll help lead a growing slate of opportunities for teens throughout New York. Read more about Ruthie and our youth programming in this newsletter.
From our Youth Reverse Tashlich gathering in Morningside Park, where teens will come together to start the year with reflection and environmental action, to our new Manhattan B'Mitzvah Cohort, designed to help young people connect Jewish tradition, community, and climate responsibility, we're creating more pathways for youth to engage with the issues that matter most. We also look forward to bringing teen voices into the conversation during Climate Week NYC, because the future belongs to them, and they deserve a seat at the table today.

Meet Ruthie Yudelson
Ruthie is thrilled to join the team as Adamah NY’s new Youth Empowerment Coordinator! She approaches this role with farming experience, years of work in Jewish education, and a BA in Environment and Sociology from NYU. She’s excited to work with our teens on programs that are outdoors, immersive, teen-led, and contribute meaningfully to our shared environment!
