NOT SO FAST – Ohio’s Marijuana Legislation Stalled at Statehouse

Our initial anticipation of the legislature moving swiftly to conclude the revisions of the HB86 has since pivoted onto a more leisurely route. Further negotiations of this bill are not projected to resume course until 2024.

Here is what we know – Among others, HB 86 would make these modifications to Issue 2.

EMPLOYERS – The following must be complete by March 31, 2024.

1.     (ALL LEVELS) Complete your annual report by clicking HERE for Comparable OR HERE for Basic/Advanced.

2.     (ALL LEVELS) If you have filed claims since July 1, 2023, you must complete the accident analysis report by clicking HERE.

3.     (ALL LEVELS) Complete annual employee education and supervisor training.

      a.  1-hour of employee education.

      b.  2-hours for NEW supervisors OR 1-hour for ongoing supervisors.

                 i.  Supervisors MUST also complete the 1-hour of employee education.

4.     (BASIC/ADVANCED LEVELS ONLY) – Complete safety management self-assessment by clicking HERE.
