Sunday Edition
Goooood Morning Members! And a very special good morning to all of our beautiful Mothers out there. Today is all about you and all the good that you do. We hope you all get absolutely spoiled rotten because you deserve it, you should at the very least have your cuppa made for you today đ
We want to dedicate todayâs newsletter to our two beautiful Mothers! Jonathanâs Mother Eve, and my (Maddieâs) Mother Kerrie. Without the two of you we wouldnât be here today. Thank you for being our rocks, and for putting up with us. We know itâs a pretty tough job đ We also just want to take a moment to acknowledge that we know for some Mothers out there that today isnât easy and we are sending you all of our love and strength. We will have you in our thoughts today.
Now, letâs take a look at the quote of the week, shall we? This weekâs quote is brought to you by none other than Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.
âIt never hurts to keep looking for sunshine.â
We donât think this quote needs much analysis. It really does speak for itself, donât you think? Just donât forget in the good times, and the bad, that searching for a bit of sunshine, in whatever way, shape, or form that it may be, never hurts. Even the smallest of things can bring a bit of sunshine to your day. Whether that be a nice cuppa and a biscuit, a piece of chocolate, a laugh with a friend, or a phone call with a loved one, just be sure to keep looking for and doing the things that bring you some sunshine.
Now, letâs get stuck into this weekâs big stories! So what happened across Australia and around the world?
-
This week, Coles, Woolies, Aldi and IGA gave us some amazing deals, including Arnottâs Tim Tam Chocolate Biscuits, John West Salmon Tempters, McCain Family Pizza (Yum), and some gadgets. You can still get these deals today!
-
Coles raised some eyebrows after releasing its latest âMotherâs Dayâ buy, with many shoppers saying it is x-rated.
-
Millions of Aussies have been warned about the potential dangers of hand sanitisers.
-
Shoppers rushed to their local Kmart to get their hands on this designer bag dupe for $15. Run, don't walk, members!
-
Thousands of Aussies have petitioned to remove this Bunnings item from the storesâ shelves due to its horrifying effects on wildlife.
-
A cult $4 British chocolate block has landed in stores nationwide, and both Aussies and Brits are losing it!
-
Aussie shoppers were left baffled by a bizarre Motherâs Day gift suggestion from Chemist Warehouse. This one is a bit x-rated, ladies and gents!
-
We also learnt a trick to lighten and brighten our bathroom grout without the elbow grease.
-
This Aussie woman shared a little-known Woolworths hack for a faster, smarter way to shop for groceries, calling it âlife-changing.â
-
Aldi is selling an expensive beauty item that looks identical to a $57 Dior item for only $9.99. Get in quick, ladies!
-
And finally, experts revealed the best glass cleaning tips for a consistent streak-free shine.
And that, ladies and gents, is a wrap of the week that was. Not a bad week eh? But don't go anywhere just yet, because we have plenty in store for you below including a very interesting trivia question and one of our favourite 'Yesterday's Australia' segments yet...
Oh, and of course donât forget to challenge your brain this lazy Sunday with todayâs OzWord, our âLast Two Lettersâ Game, and our Sudoku game. Also, be sure to post your best joke in our joke competition forum for your chance to win a $100 voucher to Coles, Woolies, Aldi or IGA!
And as always, members, stay safe and happy reading!

With the popularity of the space race, rocket playgrounds became a common sight in Australian parks in the 1960s. This specific one, from 1967, was located in Kensington, Victoria! Who here used to play in rocket playgrounds when they were young? And does anyone still have one of these in their town or suburb?

A woman is walking through Kings Park when she sees a very attractive man sitting on a park bench. He's reading a book and eating some fruit. The woman gathers the courage to go ask the man out.
So, she walks over and takes a seat next to him on the bench, turns to him and says, "Sorry to bother you. I know this may be a little forward but I would love to grab coffee with you some time."
Flattered, the man responds, "Sure, but what makes you so certain you and I would get along so well?"
