LUSU Green's Climate Conference 🌍

Are you passionate about sustainability, and eager to make a difference? Well, here’s your chance to be part of something big! 

Next Tuesday, 20th May, join LUSU Green for their Climate Conference. A dynamic and collaborative event, the conference is your opportunity to start championing and creating sustainable changes at Lancaster Uni. 

You can join the team from 5:30 – 8PM in the Management School. 

My Experience as a Student Trustee 📖

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a Student Trustee? Think you could be up for the task? 

With nominations open for the 2025/26 Student Trustees, and closing on 23rd May, 6PM, it’s time to get thinking about whether you’ve got what it takes. And to give you a clue into what exactly it means to be one, current Student Trustee, Ariana Dell, gave us a little insight into what it’s like.

Your Academic Reps play a vital role in improving the student experience – from collecting your feedback, to directly raising issues with Departmental staff. They do a lot! 

So, this is your chance to celebrate them. 

If you know an Academic Rep who has made a positive impact this year, don’t forget to nominate them before nominations close tomorrow, Friday 16th May, at 5PM.

Don't Ditch It. Donate It ♻️

It’s almost time for Lancaster University to launch its annual sustainability campaign. 

Aimed at encouraging students and staff alike to repurpose their unwanted items by exchanging or donating, rather than discarding them, Don’t Ditch it, Donate it, is the university’s annual call for people to rethink the way they dispose of things. 

Donation points will be set up across campus, officially opening on Monday 12th May.

The APPG for Students: Your Education Officer's Response

In recent months, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Students launched a commission on students in higher education, to contribute to the government's Higher Education Review and contribute to the public conversation on student maintenance.
   
The National Union of Students subsequently called upon students’ unions across the country to submit evidence. Your Education Officer, Harrison, submitted evidence on behalf of Lancaster.
